System (the Edington System) leverages insights gained from Dr. Dee
W. Edington's 30 years of research at the University of Michigan
Health Management Research Center. Dr. Edington's work has been
disseminated in more than 180 publications, and 600 presentations, and through
his book Zero Trends: Health As a Serious Economic Strategy. The
Edington System involves systemic transformation based upon five core “pillars”
that provide the foundation for sustainable, integrated, and comprehensive
employer-based population health management programs.
